The 2011 Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be the 82nd in-season exhibition game between the All-Stars of the National League (NL) and the American League (AL); the leagues composing Major League Baseball. The event will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, home of the National League Arizona Diamondbacks. It is going to be the first MLB All-Star Game to be held in Arizona and the first in a National League Park to have a designated hitter.

With a combination of injuries and rule enforcements, a record 84 players have been named to the All-Star rosters. This broke the record of 82 players that were on rosters for the 2010 game.

The 2011 ALL-Star Game will determine home field advantage during the upcoming World Series this October. The American League starting lineup still looks powerful despite Alex Rodriguez(notes) and Derek Jeter(notes) opting out of this year's contest.
